Naturalis Nights Biodiversity Day

On Wednesday, May 22, the annual World Biodiversity Day will be celebrated in Naturalis. On this day everything that lives on earth is central. Attendees must be at least 18 years of age or older.

World Biodiversity Day is an important time to celebrate everything that lives on Earth. It is our opportunity to put biodiversity at the center of our museum, and to draw attention to biodiversity loss and conservation. On this day Naturalis will also open the doors of the museum in the evening and take you through the beauty and threats to biodiversity. With this they want to create understanding and appreciation for our natural environment and inspire people to commit themselves to nature. Biodiversity is important for everyone!

On this day, everyone can discover something new about nature with our evening programming on biodiversity. Several Naturalis researchers talk about their work, and they also offer all kinds of fun activities and acts. During the evening you can also enjoy the ambient sound of DJ DNA, while enjoying a drink and a snack. The museum is also open as usual (but not the Rexperience). The preliminary program can be found below, and there is much more to come!
