The Municipal Health Service (GGD) protects, monitors and promotes the health of the inhabitants of the Netherlands. This is called public health care.

GGD Hollands Midden

GGD Hollands Midden is the responsible office for the Leiden region and has the following departments. 

  • Health Protection, Supervision and Medical Assistance Organization in the region (GHOR);
  • Youth health care;
  • Corona control;
  • Health Promotion and Research.
