Until the 30th of September 2022 British citizens that live in the Netherlands can still apply for a Brexitverblijfsvergunning (residence permit). The initial deadline for the application was the 1st of October 2021. However, after the deadline had passed, it became clear that not all British citizens had filed their applications. It was decided by the Immigratie- en Naturalisatiedienst (IND) to apply a flexible policy until 2022 for applications that were submitted after the initial deadline. This flexible policy will end on the 30th of September 2022.
After that (from 1st October 2022) stricter regulations for Brexit residence permit applications will be applied.
