The Expat Centre Leiden (ECL) offers government facilities, information and provides a network to internationals living or working in the Leiden region. We refer internationals to relevant partnered businesses like banks, tax and legal advisers.
Clients are companies, highly skilled migrants, intra corporate transferees, scientific researchers, entrepreneurs, recent graduates, EU citizens with the same qualifications and their families. Services are offered in all stages of the expat life: coming to, settling in, living, leaving.
Companies/HR departments can consult us about necessary procedures, legal aspects, forms to fill out and more. The ECL offers this service to both existing companies in the region and companies considering moving to the region.
Internationals can get registered and receive a Citizen Service Number (Burgerservicenummer - BSN).
Through co-operation with ACCESS, a not-for-profit organisation, the ECL is able to provide its clients with an in house desk for face to face or email information about questions regarding anything that will make the expat’s life in the region easier. The Expat Centre Leiden can be of aid with residence and work permits, the 30%ruling and other official matters.
We also offer a network for internationals to get in touch with each other through events and activities.
The Expat Centre Leiden (ECL) is a cooperation between the Municipalities of Leiden, Leiderdorp, Oegstgeest, Voorschoten and Zoeterwoude, Leiden University, Leiden University Medical Center, Bio Science Park, Leiden Marketing and Economie071.
